Reconstruction of large defects of the lower lip is difficult to achieve the goals of rehabilitation of both function and esthetics. The final appearance of the lip should be symmetry, and the color of the flap should be resemble to the near by tissue. The function of the lips should be rehabbed to achieve lip competence, and enough depth of gingival sulcus for denture wearing. The nasolabial flap can be widely used to reconstruct the facial defects like nasal alar, f1oor of mouth, and both upper and lower lips. The advantages of the nasolabial flap are the anatomic location, which is nearby the defect area, the color of the flap, and the continuity with the surrounding tissue. The nasolabial flap also has sufficient blood supply so the success rate of reconstruction with nasolabial flap is quite high. In this study, we present two cases of nasolabial flap reconstruction for unilateral and bilateral lower lip defect.
