慕夏創作風格與新藝術圖像關聯性之研究

本研究以阿爾豐斯．慕夏（Alphonse Mucha）作品中的女性形象切入，探討新藝術（Art Nouveau）對於慕夏繪畫作品的影響。新藝術時期，裝飾性風格帶來新的構圖氣象，慕夏在此方面突破以往思維，獨特的女性形象描繪，形成後來〈慕夏樣式〉的特色。本研究探討新藝術對慕夏創作的影響，為何多以女性為主角描繪，在風格樣式上的內在與外在因素，在此時期受到何種因素影響，對日後藝術創作上有什麼重大的改變，經研究分析發現，慕夏作品整體分為兩種風格，一種是女性表情多無情感變化，但在髮型與肢體姿態上表現相當豐富，給人一種女神般的形象；另一種則是類似歷史派畫法的創作風格。研究結果得知，慕夏受新藝術影響，嘗試在海報設計中加入裝飾性風格，這表現手法，相當適合以女性為訴求對象的海報設計。慕夏追求的藝術造詣是歷史派藝術。從早期海報繪製到晚期致於創作「斯拉夫史詩」，此期間的作品分析與新藝術運動比照，慕夏追求的藝術並不是後世所稱的「慕夏樣式」，而是歷史題材的作品。

This study discusses how Art Nouveau influenced Alphonse Mucha’s artworks from the perspective of the female images. In the Art Nouveau period, the decorative style brought out new composition rules in which Mucha made a breakthrough. His unique depiction of female images became the key characteristic of the ＂Mucha Style＂. This study explores what influences Art Nouveau had on Mucha’s artworks. Why Mucha’s paintings mostly depict women as the protagonists? What are the key internal and external factors in his style? What led to major changes in his later artistic style and what kind of changes were they. After the analysis, two major stylistic aspects of Mucha’s artworks are discussed. One is that women have almost no emotional expression, but there are numerous changes in hairstyles and postures. The art presents goddess-like images. The other is the similarity to academic art. The researcher speculated that academic art was the artistic attainment Mucha pursued. Contrasting his works (from the early poster-painting to the late devotion on The Slav Epic) with Art Nouveau, showed that Mucha’ art might not reflect the so-called Mucha Style, but rather represent academic artworks.
