Taiwanese quinoa (Chenopodium formosanum Koidz., also known as djulis) belongs to the Amaranthaceae family. It is distributed in the Taitung and Pingtung areas and was previously used for worship by Taiwan aboriginal tribes. Djulis has different lines with colorful and ornamental value. Currently, the impact of changes in the differences between the colors of djulis on agronomic traits and grain yield is not understood. This study investigated the influence of the height, number of leaves and branches, and stem diameter on the agronomic traits of orange, orange- red, red, and purple- red djulis. The results indicate that the performance traits of the orange- red djulis were the highest. These traits were as follows: a height of 273 cm, 50 leaves, 48 branches, and a stem diameter of 29 mm. Furthermore, the grain weight per plant of 73 g in the red- orange djulis was the highest. In conclusion, the agronomic traits and development of djulis affect grain yield, and the red- orange djulis had the highest yield among the four investigated colors of djulis.
