摘要 續集電影在電影公司的新產品推出策略上日益重要,而自從1980年代起,續集電影在票房上的總和已經超過20億美元。而對續集電影其每年平均票房收入在最近這10年已經超過在1990年代的雙倍以上。所以探討續集電影票房的研究實有其必要性。 本研究則主要就影評評論、電影類型、電影長度及MPAA等因素對電影票房進行探討,藉以瞭解各因素之影響程度。本研究結果如下: 1.美國國內票房及全球票房在續集電影與否均存在顯著差異。而就票房平均值的影響程度而言,續集電影在美國國內票房及全球票房等票房收入均較高。 2.續集電影中播放時間與影評分數及評論人數、影評分數與評論人數成正向顯著相關,其餘變數的相關顯著情形並不顯著。 3.美國電影中影評效果之評論人數對於電影續集及非續集票房均具有顯著影響,而影評效果之影評分數對於電影續集及非續集票房則不具有顯著影響。
Abstract Movie sequels represent the film company strategy, its growing importance in new product introductions. The sum of movie sequels at the box office has been more than two billion U.S. dollars since 1980. Movie sequels on its average annual box office revenue in the last 10 years have more than doubled over the 1990s. Therefore, the research on movie sequels at the box office is necessary. In this study, will focus on the discussion of movie type, movie time , MPAA and film critics on the box office, in order to understand the impact of various factors. The results are shows as follow: 1. U.S. domestic box office and global box office in the movie sequel or not were significant differences. The impact on average of box office, the revenue of movie sequels in U.S. domestic box office and global box office is higher than non-movie sequel 2. The relationship of playing time and the number of scores and comments, critic scores and comments of movie sequels are significant positive correlation, others are not significant correlation. 3. The comment number of critic effect on the movie sequels and non-movie sequel has a significant effect on box office are in American film, score of critic effect on the movie sequels and non-movie sequel has a significant effect on box office are in U.S. film
