Due to contract opinions about the taxonomy of Entada genus in Taiwan. we attempt to collect more available evidences to identify these species The aim of this paper is to provide the description of Entada koshunensis, including the size of a large woody liana near the ground We also investigate the associated trees that cover the canopy layer and support E. koshunensis climbing The results show that the woody trunk of E. koshunensis is about 28-30 cm in diameter The microhabitat of E. koshunensis consists of hardwood trees, with only one species, Castanopsis indica, belongs to Fagaceae Three species of Taiwan Entada are distinguished by key and comparison chart Among three species, the endocarp is woody and 3.3-3.5 mm thick for E. rheedii, but is parchment-like and 0.34-0.58 mm thick for the other two species The size and surface of seeds of Entada can be used as diagnostic characters to identify species The seed of E. phaseoloides is the biggest, about 6.2 cm long, 5.2 cm wide and with smooth surface. E. koshunensis seed is about 4 cm long, 3.4 cm wide, and with obvious convexity on the middle. By seed characters, pair numbers of pinna and floristic region of Hengchun Penisula, it is clear that E. phaseoloides and E. koshunensis are different. By the distribution of demarcation line about Entada genus from Flora Malesiana, there was no E. phaseoloides in Taiwan, but from the specimens collected in Taiwan, it clearly indicate that this species is here and with wider distributed ranges than other 2 species.
