遭受婚姻暴力母親之教養價值研究

An Investigation of Partner Abused Mothers' Child-Rearing Values

摘要


婚姻暴力的發生對一位女性之生理、心理及社會功能上造成的傷害在目前已獲得多數實證研究的證實,而當女性同時扮演母親的角色時,婚姻暴力帶來的重大壓力可能使其在子女的教養上深感乏力。現有之婚姻暴力與親子關係的研究多偏重在教養態度、行為,研究者更好奇其背後的價值想法,據此,本研究之研究目的在於探索遭受婚姻暴力母親的教養價值、以及婚姻暴力對教養價值產生的影響為何。 欲達本研究目的,期待能更進一步地深入遭受婚姻暴力母親獨特的婚姻暴力與教養子女之經驗,研究者選擇質化的研究典範,使用情境式問題與半結構式深度訪談為資料蒐集方法,訪談十位遭受婚姻暴力的母親。經訪談資料分析之後,研究發現如下: 一、遭受婚姻暴力母親的教養價值包括:中規中矩、好的學業成績表 現、依賴權威、同理心、負責、自我權益的表達、宿命觀、自我保護、分享、謙卑、情感與生活獨立、勤奮、禮貌、自我接納、家庭情感的重視、親力親為、尊重、自信心、身心靈健康、量入為出的金錢觀,共二十一項。研究者進一步將其中的十九項教養價值歸類為六大主題概念:和諧的人際互動、嚴謹的生活態度、成就表現的追求、個人主體性、關係連結、以及自我照顧的能力。 二、婚姻暴力的發生促使母親在教養的想法上有了改變:首先,特別重視子女是否出現行為問題;第二,對於婚姻抱持宿命觀,消極期待女兒不要踏入婚姻;第三,對教養子女時常感到無力,並將此無力感傳達予子女;最後,藉由子女的增強、外界資源的介入、母親的自我成長以及對未來的嚮往而可為教養帶來正向的因子。 綜合以上研究結果,發現遭受婚姻暴力母親的教養價值較偏重在規訓和要求子女符合一般社會期待,鮮少提及針對子女特殊性發展層面的教養價值,此外,對於教養價值的解讀亦可發現母親的價值詮釋及理念均來自於親身的婚姻暴力經驗,其中含括正向的影響以及負面思維的傳遞。 最後,本研究建議後續研究應結合教養價值與行為,深入探索價值是否能落實於實際的教養行為之中,並進一步發掘其中的親職功能是否能有效發揮;另在實務工作上,更應重視婚姻暴力之下的母職功能,發展完善的親職處遇模式。

Many researches have proved that marital violence causes devastating harms on a female physically, mentally and socially. When a female also plays the role of a mother, she could be overwhelmed by the pressure brought by marital violence on her education of children. Many current researches on marital violence and parent-children relationship focus on parents' attitudes and behaviors regarding their child-rearing values of children. This research aims to understand mothers' child-rearing values and thinking, and explore the child-rearing values of mothers who suffer from marital violence and the influence of marital violence on education value. Based on the above purposes, and to further understand the subjects' unique experience with regards to marital violence and children's education, this research applied qualitative research examples, and collected data through the 5 hypothetical scenarios and semi-constructive in-depth interviews. Based on interviews with 10 marital violence victims, the findings are as follows: 1.The child-rearing values of mothers suffering from marital violence includes 21 items: obeying the rules, good performance at school, relying on authority, sympathy, responsibility, the expression of self-rights, belief in destiny, self-protection, sharing, being humble, emotional and lives independence, diligence, courtesy, self-recognition, emphasis on family relationships, carrying out works in person, respect, confidence, physical and mental health, spending according to the income; among these, 19 are divided into 6 theme concepts: harmonious interpersonal relationships, conscientious living attitude, pursuit of achievements, individual subjectivity, relationship networks and self-care ability. 2.Marital violence triggers these subjects to change their attitude towards child-rearing values: 1) they pay extra attention to children's misbehaviors; 2) they believe in their destiny, passively hoping their children to be away from marriages; 3) they often feel helplessness when educating their children, and pass this helplessness to their children; 4) their children's enhancement, intervention of outside resources, self-growth of the subjects, and prospect toward the future would bring positive factors to educating their children. Based on the above results, it is found that mothers suffering from marital violence emphasize on rules and require their children to meet the expectation of the society rather than child-rearing values with regards to children's unique developments. Furthermore, the analysis in child-rearing values also indicates that these mothers' value and concept come from their own experience of marital violence, including positive influences and the expression of negative thinking. Finally, this research suggests future researches to integrate child-rearing values and child-rearing behaviors, explore whether their value can be practiced in their education behaviors and further analyze whether the function of their motherhood can be effectively developed. With regards to practical works, this it is suggested that extra emphasis should be paid on motherhood influenced by marital violence to establish a comprehensive model of motherhood development.
