This study utilized the numerical weather model to simulate and re-construct four-dimensional wind for analyzing a helicopter crash event at FengBin near Hualian on June 10, 2017. Simulate results generally resemble the synoptic observations (such as sounding, surface and satellite), but are obviously different from the 10 knots east-northeasterly wind reported by rescue and local personnel. The model can simulate the 5 knots east-northeasterly wind at about 637 meters above sea level under the settings of 20 meter geographical data and 2-way domain feedback. Nevertheless, the maximum vertical wind shear (~0.02 s^(-1)) was far weaker than the light shear standard of 0.067 s^(-1).
