Rights, Responsibilities, Globalisation and Communitarianism: A Critical Examination of David Miller's Global Justice Theory

摘要

冷戰已經結束30年，對很多全球主義者來說，這標誌着資本主義的徹底勝利。可是，資本主義全球化帶來的問題卻逐漸浮現，跨國企業在全球攻城掠地，環境污染和血汗工廠等問題伴隨全球不平等及貧窮而來。世界貿易組織成立後促成了全球貿易協議，但同時令各地農民及勞工權益受到影響，激發此起彼落的反全球化浪潮。政治哲學家不再將自己的眼光局限在本土社會，在意識形態上對立的大同主義者與社群主義者都試圖提出應付全球不平等及貧窮問題，本文集中討論及批判左翼社群主義者米勒的全球分配正義論述，並指出當中的理論缺陷。

T The Cold War has come to an end after 30 years. For many globalists, the end of this war marked the victory of capitalism. Under the widespread influence of the globalisation of capitalism, multinational enterprises continue expanding and introducing problems related to the environment and labour rights. The rising global inequalities and other worldwide problems have also stimulated grassroot anti-globalisation protests. Political philosophers no longer focus on domestic issues. Both antagonistic camps of cosmopolitans and communitarians have started to tackle the problems of global inequality and poverty. This paper critically examines David Miller's rights-based global distributive justice theory and points out its defects.
