“综合高效识字法”提高华语为二语中学生识字能力的实证研究

An Empirical Study of Using an Integrative and Effective Literacy Approach to Enhance the Literacy Skills of Chinese as a Second Language Secondary School Students

摘要


本研究以“综合高效识字法”为内涵,结合识字理论、二语习得理论等,建构“中学华语为二语学生综合高效识字法”。通过在新加坡一所中学的三个班级进行教与学实验研究,本研究发现相较于“集中识字法”,“综合高效识字法”能有效提高各年级二语中学生的识字能力。此外,通过课堂观察、学生访谈、教师访谈、作品分析,本研究也总结出二语学生的识字特点,并且验证“综合高效识字法”能够提高他们学习汉字和华文的兴趣。

Combining literacy theory and second language acquisition theory, this study uses the Integrative and Effective Approach to construct an Integrative and Effective Literacy Approach for Chinese as a second language (CSL) students in secondary schools. Through teaching experiments conducted at three classes in a secondary school in Singapore, the study found that the Integrative and Effective Literacy Approach effectively improved the literacy skills of CSL secondary school students at all levels as compared to the traditional Focused Literacy Approach. In addition, this study also summarised the CSL students' literacy characteristics through classroom observation, interviews and artifact analysis. We could, thereafter, verify that the Integrative and Effective Literacy Approach can increase the students' interest in learning Chinese characters and Chinese language.
