台灣地區中密度纖維板與粒片板之物理性質分析
Analysis on physical Properties of Medium Density Fiberboard and Particleboard in Taiwan
摘要
中密度纖維板及粒片板為家具製造加工之主要使用板材，且市場發展前景頗為看好。故本研究共購得中密度纖維板15mm及18mm各有11家廠牌，粒片板15mm及18mm各有六家廠牌，進行理學及力學性質測試。台灣地區沒有生產中密度纖維板，主要由紐西蘭、澳洲及美國等地進口，另外，由馬來西亞及智利進口之量也逐年增加，經板材性質檢測之後，以智利及紐西蘭的中密度纖維板品質較佳（內聚強度平均為7 kgf／cm^2、螺絲釘保持力為57 kgf、靜曲強度為430 kgf／cm^2），各廠牌之中密度纖維板的價格差異約為30%。粒片板之進口亦可觀，主要的進口國為印尼及美國，智利進口量少，但板材品質穩定（內聚強度平均為6 kgf／cm^2、螺絲釘保持力為51 kgf、靜曲強度為208 kgf／cm^2），各廠牌粒片板的價格差異約為10%。

Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) and Particleboard (PE) are mainly used in the furniture industry. Their prospective market is fairly promising. This study acquired MDF of 15 mm and 18 mm in thickness from 11 companies, and PE of 15 mm and 18 mm in thickness from 6 firms. Their properties were investigated by destructive test. MDF in Taiwan import mainly from New Zealand, Australia, and USA. The imports of MDF from Malaysia and Chile has been increased in recent years. After testing its properties and characteristics, MDF from Chile and New Zealand were found to be better in quality (average internal bond strength 7 kgf/cm^2, screw holding strength, 57 kgf, bending strength, 430 kgf/cm^2). The range of price difference for MDF was about 30%. Taiwan imports also a lot of particleboards. The main suppliers are Indonesia and USA. The quantity Chile supplies is limited, but with consistent quality (average internal bond strength, 6 kgf/cm^2, screw holding, 51 kgf, bending strength, 208 kgf/cm^2). The price difference among different firms was about 10%.
