本研究針對中橫公路67及70K兩處崩塌地之優勢木本植物-臺灣赤楊與山鹽菁,進行根力特性之探討。試驗結果,臺灣赤楊與山鹽菁之根拉張力強度(Y,kgf)與根徑(X,mm)成指數正相關。兩種植物間,臺灣赤楊之根拉張力強度大於山鹽菁。其計算式如下:臺灣赤楊:Y = 1.615×exp(0.517X)(0.8 mm<X<8.8 mm),山鹽菁:Y:= 0.911×exp(0.526X)(0.5 mm<X<10.5 mm),另於崩塌地現場,測得臺灣赤楊,山鹽菁之植株引拔抗力(Y,kgf)與地上部重量(X,g)成指數正相關,其計算式如下:臺灣赤楊:Y = 15.52×exp(0.0036x),(3.8 g<X<800 g)山鹽菁:Y = 14.64x exp(0.00262),44 g<X<600 g)
This study was taken place at landslide areas of the Central Cross-Island Highway in Taiwan, investigated the root strength characteristics of Formosan Alder (Alnus formosana) and Roxburgh Sumac (Rhus javanica var. roxbur ghiana). The root tensile strength (Y, kgf) of two tree were proportional to their diameter (X, mm) exponentially. Root tensile strength of Formosana Alder was greater than Roxburgh Sumac. The regression equations were shown as bellow: Formosan Alder: Y = 1.615x exp (0.517x) ,(0.8 mm<X<8.7 mm) Roxburgh Sumac: Y-0.911×exp (0.526X) (0.5 mm<X<10.5 mm) According to the field testing, the pulling resistance (Y, kgf) of plant individuals was proportional to their tree weight (X, g) exponentially. The regression equations were shown as bellow: Formosan Alder: Y 15.52×exp (0.0036X), (3.8 g<X<800 g) Roxburgh Sumac: Y 14.64xexp (0.0026X) 44<X<600 g)
