白糯玉米「台南23號」之育成及品種特性

Characteristics and Breeding of a New White Waxy Com Variety "Tainan No. 23"

摘要


白糯玉米台南23號為單雜交品種。原品系代號為PWX 90-3,自民國90年起進行新品系組合力檢定試驗,再經新品系比較試驗、新品系區域試驗、穩定性分析、氮肥試驗、栽培密度試驗、官能品評、鮮果穗籽實品質分析及抗病性檢定等試驗,於民國96年命名為台南23號。台南23號的植株強健,抗倒伏性強。強抗露菌病,中抗莖腐病。株高在春作約195公分,秋作約210公分。採收期在春作為70~85天,秋作為66~71天,冬季裡作約105~110天,為中熟品種。穗長約17~20公分。每公頃含苞葉鮮穗產量為11,000~14,000公斤,每公頃去苞葉鮮穗產量為7,000~8,000公斤。

Tainan No. 23 is a single cross variety which released by Tainan DARES, It performed high fresh ear production in yield trail and showed good performance in regional trails and sensory evaluation trails etc., finally it was released in 2007. Tainan No. 23 has strong plant and high fresh ear yield with husk about 11,000 ~ 14,000 kg/ha, dehusked ear yield about 7,000 ~ 8,000 kg/ha, good ear shape and good eating quality. Tainan No. 23 also can resistant with downy mildew and stalk rot. Tainan No. 23 is a middle maturity white waxy com and suitable to be cultivated in Yun-Chia-Nan area.
