高蹺鴴(Himantopus himantopus)產白化症蛋順利孵化之首次報導

First Report on Successfully Hatched Albino Eggs of the Black-winged Stilt (Himantopus himantopus) in Taiwan

摘要

本文報導高蹺鴴在臺灣產下白化症蛋；2005年7月6日，發現一對高蹺鴴產下4枚白化症蛋，並且順利孵化的首次紀錄。這些幼雛的眼睛、嘴喙及絨毛等外觀，與其他正常蛋所孵出的幼雛沒有差異。

This paper reports on observations of four albino eggs. These light blue eggs with dark markings were laid by Black-winged Stilts (Himantopus himantopus) in Taiwan. On July 6, 2005 we found a Black-winged Stilt nest containing four albino eggs about to hatch. The fertility rate was high in all eggs. The eyes, bills and plumages of all the young birds were perfectly normal.
