Abstracts

人類生命的本質在於活下去且繁衍下一代， 生態智慧便是以生態學為基礎， 讓人能夠有智慧地活下去的生活哲學觀。生態智慧來自於對大自然的了解， 透過自我體驗，向大自然學習，獲得自己的生存法則。經由科學的觀察、量化與詮釋，我們可以發現大自然的變化過程皆遵循著一統的原理，包含自然力與生命力，以及同樣影響大自然運作的人之意志力。現今由於人類對環境與資源的破壞和濫用，使得大自然不再協調。所幸人類亦擁有看懂整個自然環境問複雜關係的能力， 能夠發現過去所犯的錯誤，重新展現人的意志力，以仿大自然之生態工程對大自然進行修復。若每一個人都能練就對生命的敏銳度，擁有照顧大地上所有生命之心，不抗拒大自然， 而順應大自然， 向大自然學習， 人類便能夠持續地快樂的活下去。

Survival and reproduction are essential to species survival and humans are no exception to this. One of our most intelligent philosophies is that of ecological wisdom; i.e., our understanding of change in nature. We gain our own knowledge of the rules of survival by learning through and experiencing nature. Through observation, quantification, and interpretation of our environment, we have discovered that the nature of change follows some unitive mechanisms that involve both physical and biological forces, and that equally influential to human survival is human willpower. Today, our natural environment is no longer in a state of harmony. This is largely due to indiscriminate and excessive industrial development. Fortunately, with appropriate education, we are capable of comprehending complicated natural relationships and recognizing the mistakes of our past. With willpower, this damage to our environment can be repaired by utilizing ecological technology. If we can learn from nature and cherish life, humanity can happily coexist with nature forever.
