This experiment was conducted at Yingge, Dayuan, Xinwu and Hukou to study adaptation of field corn (Zea mays L.) in north region of Taiwan. Three corn varieties (”Tainung No. 1”, ”Tainan No. 20” and ”Tainan No. 24”) were grown in the cropping seasons from fall 2008 to spring 2009. The variety mean grain yield in four locations were 3,338, 3,742, 3,221 and 3,759 kg ha^(-1), respectively in fall 2008, and 2,407, 3,109, 3,905 and 4,302 kg ha^(-1), respectively in spring 2009. The results indicated that Hukou and Xinwu were suitable for field corn cultivation. Grain yield was higher in spring crop than fall crop at these two locations.
