本文提出一個利用水族箱連續溶氧及水溫量測數據來計算魚群的基礎代謝率(Standard Metabolic Rate)及代謝範圍(Aerobic Scope)的方法,此方法是以魚群活動晝夜韻律(Circadian Rhythm)所引致溶氧變化為基礎,利用氧氣轉移模型(Oxygen Transfer Model)來進行數據分析計算。此方法假設每日深夜溶氧最高時魚群以基礎代謝處於靜候狀態,以此每日值配合水溫回歸分析出魚群基礎代謝與水溫的線性關係後再帶入由模型導出之公式計算出魚群總代謝率與時間的變化。魚群的晝夜韻律及代謝分析搭配現有魚類生理學研究將能提供飼主監測魚群健康狀態、進食結果及未來生長潛能。
This article proposes a method for calculating the standard metabolic rate and aerobic scope of fish school by using the continuous measurement of dissolved oxygen and water temperature in the aquarium. It is based on the variation of dissolved oxygen induced by the circadian rhythm of fishes and the data analyses in a way that agrees with the oxygen transfer model of this system. This method assumes that the fishes are in a resting state when the dissolved oxygen is maximum in the dark night every day, and the linear relationship between the standard metabolic rate and the water temperature is regressed by those daily maximums, and then the total metabolic rate can be calculated based on this relationship. The circadian analysis of fish metabolism could provide the owner the monitoring of fishes' health status, feeding outcomes and future growth potential.
