Before the Reichstag held in June 1530 in Augsburg, Martin Luther (1483-1546) wrote on 28 April a letter: From the Reichstag of Jackdaws and Crows to his Wittenberg table companions, among whom were students residing in his home. Inspired by this letter, this work seeks to gain an understanding of its background by means of textual analysis and documentary analysis and thus to get the messages conveyed by the letter: the possible persons who met there, the possible steps those persons would take, the possible things that would happen during the Reichstag, and the possible decision those persons would make and that would trouble Luther. What did the Augsburg Confession say? What did it mean and what does it mean today then?
