日本家庭對鮪魚需求之研究

摘要


爲探討花身雞魚(Terapon jarbua)游泳運動之活性及其受驚嚇刺激後經由延腦之Mauthner細胞啓動之驚嚇反應,兩者所呈現之日夜周期(CircadianRhythm)之特性,本實驗利用心電圖(ECG)記錄,以比較閃光刺激誘致驚嚇反應所伴隨之心跳迷失(missing heartbeat)在日間與夜間之差異,結果顯示日夜之心跳迷失均不顯著,C-startle之逃避行爲也未顯現,唯經serotonin合成阻斷劑(P-CPA,para-chlorophenylalanine methylester)注射之實驗魚,則顯示顯著之心跳迷失,其心跳延誤(heartbeat delay)達:283±17%(日間)和279±21%(夜間)。利用運動軌跡分析系統(VTMAS)測定游泳活性之比較也顯示P-CPA處理之游泳活性顯著增加(平均游泳速度由0.52±0.23 cm/sec(n=4)變成3.48±2.56 cm/sec(n=4))。因此,花身雞魚之驚嚇反應和游泳運動可能均受serotonin之調節而呈現日夜不同之活性。

In order to investigate the effects of serotonin on startle responses(stereotypic responsetriggered by Mauthner cells of medulla oblongata)and swimming activity of thornfish(Terapon jarbua),electrocardiographic recording(ECG)and video tracking and motionanalysis system(VTMAS)were aided to quantitatively analyze their circadian rhythmby assessing heartbeat delay(missing heartbeat)evoked by flash stimulus and swimmingactivity by continuous recording with VTMAS.The missing heartbeats and stereotypicresponses in control groups did not occur significantly when compared to the individualsinjected with serotonin-synthesis blocker(ρ-CPA,parachlorophenylalanine methylester).The ρ-CPA treated fish also revealed a higher average daily swimming distance(3.48±2.56cm/sec,n=4)than the control groups(0.52±0.23 cm/sec,n=4).It is concluded that thefish have their higher swimming activity coincided well with their higher startle responsesin their active cycle of circadian rhythm so as to reach highly efficient prey-predation andpredator avoidance.It is also shown that the modulation of the circadian activity is relevantto the serotonin.
