Ecology, food safety, and environmental effects are currently global concerns regarding aquaculture. The aquaculture of clams that receives an innocuous certification by the local Hualien government produces clams of substantial economic value, but also can reduce negative environmental effects and damage. The innocuous clams producing method approach organic forming standard. Several studies have investigated the environmental friendliness of aquaculture. In this study, the goal was to compare environmental effects of innocuous and conventional aquaculture. The number of species, abundance, and Simpson and Shannon diversity indices for plants, birds, and fishes were analyzed. The results indicated that the most indices, e.g., number of species, abundance and diversity indices were higher for innocuous methods than for conventional methods, except where herbicide-resistant plants species occurred. Therefore, the innocuous aquaculture method, which approaches the organic method, is more environmental eco-friendly. The methods should be promoted.
生態、食品安全及環境效應是目前全球水產養殖關注的焦點。由花蓮縣政府所認證的無毒水產養殖蜆,其生產方法近似有機農業規範,它具有高經濟價值並且能夠減少環境的衝擊與危害。以往很少研究探討水產養殖的環境友善度,因此引發本研究興趣去比較無毒和傳統水產養殖蜆的環境友善度。本研究分析與比較兩種養殖方法的草鳥魚之物種、數量及多樣性指數,結果顯示,除了一個除草劑和藥物均能產生抗藥性的草種外,大部分的測量變數無毒養殖法都高於傳統養殖法。因此本研究總結,近似有機的無毒養殖法比傳統養殖法較為生態有善。這種較為友善的養殖方法應該被推廣。
