Sintering of 3mol% Yttria-doped Zirconia Powders Prepared by Water or 1-Octanol Extraction Variant of Sol-gel Process

摘要


以溶膠-凝膠法製備部分安定型氧化鋯3Y-ZrO2陶瓷粉末,凝膠經水處理,溶膠粒子間以氫鍵相互吸引,粉末變成hard agglomerates。在1300℃燒結5小時,相對理論密度只達78%,溶膠經辛醇加熱處理後,溶膠粒子間以凡得瓦爾力吸引,粉末成爲soft agglomerates,在1200℃燒結5小時,即可達到相對理論密度98%以上。

3Y-ZrO2 powders were prepared from sol-gel synthesis. When the gel was washed with water, the particles in gel would be attractive to each other by hydrogen bond. The hard agglomerates in water-washed powders were sintered for five hours and only reached to 78% theoretical density at 1300℃. The powders treated with 1-octanol contained Van-der Waals forces. The soft agglomerates powders from 1-octanol treated were sintered to 98% of theoretical density at 1200℃ for five hours.
