This study collected Chinese diplomats Chunying Hua's and Lijian Zhao's tweets during the COVID-19 pandemic from 2020 to 2021 and employed sentiment analysis to examine the effect of Chinese diplomats' use of Twitter on influencing netizens' emotions. The theoretical contribution of this research is to test and quantify the impact of Wolf Warrior tweets on netizens' emotions by utilizing sentiment analysis. The results showed that when the topic involves "Xinjiang human rights related issues," the sentiments are the most negative, and the tweets indeed results in the emotional polarization of netizens. The current study echoes the research on the influence of uncivilized speeches by political elites on the polarization of netizens' attitudes. Finally, it also echoes the guidelines of various foreign publicity since the Chinese leader Xi Jinping came to power; that is, to model public opinion by mastering media resources and seizing the right to speak internationally.
