For steel industry, the coil's temperature into coil cooling bed was higher than 700℃, so a lot of thermal radiation lost to environment. Because of this, this study built the thermoelectric power generation system on coil cooling bed to recover thermal radiation. It is the first time to recover thermal radiation of coil cooling bed to generate power in Taiwan's steel industry. The results of performance tests revealed that the thermoelectric power generation system could recover thermal radiation to generate 320 W power above. The results of this research can be used as a reference for expanding the application of thermoelectric power generation technology to other industries with a large amount of radiant heat.
