The Co-tidal chart can be potentially used for tide correction to improve depth sounding accuracy however it require a lot of manpower and time to establish the tidal zone and correlate meta data (amplitude ratio and tidal phase difference). This research uses the value-added NAO99b ocean tide model to simulate tidal condition real-time for tide correction during depth sounding. The present result is useful in its simplicity and easy to apply. On-site test has been carried out in Miaoli maritime space with a GPS buoy and RTK GPS depth sounding operation and result a RMS value of 0.124m tide variation which meet the criteria of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers tide correction standard.
