本試驗之目的為評估三種台灣常見含笑屬植物(白玉蘭、含笑花與烏心石)葉子精油的抗病媒蚊幼蟲活性,試驗結果得知白玉蘭葉子精油不具有抗病媒蚊幼蟲活性,含笑花與烏心石葉子精油對埃及斑蚊幼蟲之半數致死濃度分別為52.7與55.5ppm,顯示含笑花與烏心石葉子精油具有良好的抗病媒蚊幼蟲活性,值得進一步評估其成為天然殺蟲劑之潛力。利用氣相層析-質譜儀分析含笑屬植物葉子精油的化學成分,白玉蘭葉子精油的主成分為Linalool(72.36%),其他次要成分為β-Elemene(5.10%)、Nerolidol(4.30%)與β-Caryophyllene(3.34%);含笑花葉子精油的主要成分為Caryophyllene oxide(16.10%)、β-Elemene(12.24%)、α-Cadinol(11.84%)、β-Elemol(11.61%)、Spathulenol(10.40%)與T-Muurolol(4.48%);烏心石葉子精油的組成為Caryophyllene oxide(27.01%)、β-Elemene(17.26%)、α-Cadinol(6.61%)、β-Elemol(5.49%)與Linalool(5.37%)。精油成分中以β-Caryophyllene、Nerolidol、α-Cadinol與β-Elemene的抗病媒蚊幼蟲活性較佳。
Mosquito larvicidal activities of leaf essential oils from three common Michelia species in Taiwan, Michelia alba, Michelia figo and Michelia formosana, were evaluated in this study. Results revealed that leaf oil from M. alba didn't exhibit the mosquito larvicidal activity. LC50 values of leaf oils from M. figo and M. formosana against fourth instar larvae of Aedes aegypti were 52.7 and 55.5 ppm, respectively. It demonstrated that M. figo and M. formosana leaf oils possessed mosquito larvicidal activity and could be considered the contribution to the search for new natural biodegradable mosquito larvicides. Constituents of leaf essential oils from three Michelia species were identified by GC-MS. Major constituent in M. alba leaf oil was linalool (72.36%), the minor constituents were β-elemene (5.10%), nerolidol (4.30%) and β-caryophyllene (3.34%). Main constituents of M. figo leaf oil were caryophyllene oxide (16.10%), β-elemene (12.24%), α-cadinol (11.84%), β-elemol (11.61%), spathulenol (10.40%) and T-Muurolol (4.48%). And main constituents of M. formosana leaf oil were caryophyllene oxide (27.01%), β-elemene (17.26%), α-cadinol (6.61%), β-elemol (5.49%) and linalool (5.37%). Effective constituents in leaf oils against larvae of A. aegypti were proved to be β-caryophyllene, nerolidol, α-cadinol and β-elemene.
