七年生櫸木、苦楝、光腊樹在平地造林的林木樹輪特徵研究

Tree Ring Characteristics of 7-Year-Old Zelkova Serrata, Melia Azedarach, and Fraxinus Formosana in Plains

摘要


本研究探討7年生櫸木、苦楝、光腊樹在屏東泰和及花蓮大農大富平地造林的樹木生長及樹輪特徵值,結果發現三種樹種及兩個生育地對樹木的生長表現及樹輪特徵值有不同的結果。三種闊葉樹種的樹輪密度與樹木生長特性之間沒有顯著性相關存在。樹輪寬度及樹輪密度在樹木之間、樹齡之間有不同的顯著性差異性存在。櫸木、苦楝及光腊樹從1年生到7年生的直徑生長曲線,可由直線迴歸式加以表達,具有極顯著的正相關性存在,決定係數為0.986~0.999。樹輪密度與林木大小沒有顯著的相關性存在,三種闊葉樹種於7年生階段中林木生長對材質的影響小,以上結果可以提供平地造林經營實務的參考。

The purpose of this research was to explore the tree growth and ring characteristics of 7-year-old Zelkova serrata, Melia azedarach, and Fraxinus formosana in plains, and to understand the relationship between tree growth and ring characteristics. The results revealed that there were significant differences among 3 hardwoods species and between 2 stand sites. The correlation between tree growth characteristics and ring density were non-significant. Ring width and ring density were significantly different among inter-trees and inter-rings with ANOVA analyses. The wood densities were not correlated to tree growth characteristics. A linear regression analysis of tree diameter growth rate and tree age indicated that regression equation (Coefficients of determination from 0.986 to 0.999, positive significant relation) could be used to predict the growth performance of the three hardwood species in plains. These results suggested that plain plantation of the three hardwood species stand at 7-year-old stage did not seem to have a large impact on wood properties for plain plantation practices and wood utilization in Taiwan.
