本研究之目的為以柳杉木材經熱裂解後取其固態副產物生質炭為原料,作為綠薄荷香草栽培之基質。其栽培介質配方為泥炭土:蛭石:基質:有機肥(容積比為4:3:2:1)。其中基質又分為真珠石:柳杉生質炭容積比=100:0、60:40、20:80及0:100四種比例混合,觀察56天之生長期,探討生質炭添加對綠薄荷植株生物量(株高、葉面積、葉片數、鮮重、乾重)及精油抽出量之效應。柳杉生質炭之性質為BET比表面積0.81-1.15 m^2/g、碘值286.80 mg/g、pH值6.78、EC值420 μs/cm、CEC值30.5 cmol/kg、C元素含量70.58%。真珠石:生質炭容積比之性質:pH值6.88(100/0)-8.31(20:80)、EC值463.67 μs/cm(20:80)-641.33 μs/cm(0:100)、CEC值10.0 cmol/kg(0:100)-28.5 cmol/kg(20:80)、充氣孔隙度7.5%(60:40)-18.25%(100:0)、容器容水量69.38%(100:0)-81.14%(60:40)及總體密度0.208g/cm^3(0:100)-0.234 g/cm^3(100:0)。至於生質炭對綠薄荷植株生長率之效應(56天)顯示,葉面積、株高、植株鮮乾重均以真珠石/生質炭容積比=60:40優於對照組;精油收率以真珠石:生質炭容積比60:40較之對照組及其它試驗組佳。然而,葉片數生長率是以20:80及0:100大於對照組(0.05 level)。整體而言,綠薄荷栽培時添加適量的生質炭將有助於生物量之生長。
The purpose of this study was using solid byproduct biochar for the Japanese cedar wood by pyrolysis feedstock, as spearmint substrate of cultivation. Cultivation medium formulations for its peat: vermiculite: ground substrate: organic fertilizer (volume ratio of 4: 3: 2: 1). Wherein the ground substrate: was divided into perlite: Japanese cedar biochar volume ratios=100: 0.60: 40, 20: 80 and 0: 100 four proportions observed 56 days of the growing periods, to investigate the adding biochar on spearmint effects of plant biomass (plant height, leaf area, leaf number, plant fresh weight, plant dry weight) and the essential oil extracted amount. Characteristics of Japanese cedar biochar for BET were surface area 0.81-1.15 m2/ g, Iodine value 286.80 mg / g, pH value of 6.78, EC value of 420 μs / cm, CEC value of 30.5 cmol / kg, and C element content 70.58%. Perlite: biochar volume ratio of (before planting): pH value of 6.88 (100:0) -8.31 (20:80), EC value 463.67μs / cm (20/80) - 641.33 μs / cm (0:100), CEC value of 10.0 cmol / kg (0:100)-28.5 cmol / kg (20/80), air filled porosity 7.5% (60:40) -18.25% (100:0), container water capacity 69.38% (100/0)-81.14% (60:40) and bulk density 0.208 g / cm3 (0:100)-0.234 g / cm3 (100:0). As for the effects of biochar on spearmint plant growth rates (56 days) display, leaf area, plant height, plant fresh and dry weight were perlite / biochar volume ratio=60:40 better than the control group; Meantime essential oil yield is also display perlite: biochar volume ratio of 60:40 better than the control group and the other experimental groups. However, leaf number is 20:80 and 0:100 than the control group (0.05 level). Overall, spearmint added the appropriate amount of cultivated biochar would help the growth of biomass.
