Localization of Cat Spinal Cord Which Neurons Project to the Superior Cervical Ganglion

貓節前神經元投射至頸上神經節之脊髓來源

摘要


為了追溯頸上神經節(SCG)之節前神經元在中樞脊髓之來源,本實驗利用過氧化氫酶(HRP)逆向傳遞法,將頸交感神經幹進入SCG處截斷,在其近心斷端浸泡HRP。HRP標示神經元完全座落在同側C8-T5段脊髓,且超過90%之標示神經元座落於T1-T3脊髓段。總計八隻動物平均標示到神經元為1707 ± 127,局限在脊髓五個區域,分別包括intermediolateral nucleus(74%),lateral funiculus(21%),central autonomic area(2%),intercalated region(2%),和anterior horn region(1%)。其中intermediolateral nucleus處之神經元在水平切面(horizontal sections)並非呈現連續性排列,而是呈現一群群(clusters)細胞排列方式,在每段脊髓通常有數群出現。由本實驗結果顯示,貓SCG之節前神經元源自同側C8-T5段脊髓,絕大部份神經元座落於T1-T3段,而且呈現clusters排列。

For searching the central origins of the preganglionic sympathetic neurons in the present study, horseradish peroxidase (HRP) was used to determine the location in the spinal cord of neurons projecting to the superior proximal cut end of the cervical sympathetic trunk, close to its entry into the SCG. Labeded preganglionic neurons were found only ipsilateral to the side of HRP application and were restricted to spinal segments C8-T5. Over ninety percent of these neurons were located in segments TI-T3. The mean number ± S.E.M of 8 experiments in the present investigation was 1707 ± 127. Labeded neurons were found in five regions of the spinal cord: the intermediolateral nucleus (74%), the lateral funiculus (21%), the central autonomic area (2%), the intercalated region (2%), and the anterior horn region (1%). The cells of the intermediolateral nucleus did not form a continuous column along the rostrocaudal axis of the spinal cord, but instead were often found in clusters being present per spinal segment. These results suggested that the preganglionic neurons to the SCG originated widely from segments C8-T5, and great numbers were concentrated in the intermediolateral column and forming clusters picture.
