鉀離子的流失對心臟節律而言有很大的影響，如果突然有嚴重的低血鉀現象可能會產生致命性的心室心律不整，但若即時提升血鉀濃度，則可將其控制住。我們知道Conn's syndrome可導致低血鉀，但因而致torsades de pointes的事件則非常罕見。本文則是報告一個因致低血鉀而引發torsades de pointes的病例，而且除此之外，我們並未發現其他可能引起低血鉀的原因。

Potassium depletion may have profound effects on cardiac rhythm. Life-threatening ventricular arrhythmia such as torsades de pointes complicated by sudden hypokalemia can be controlled by potassium repletion. Conn’s syndrome is known to cause hypokalemia. However there are very few reports of patients with Conn’s syndrome developing torsades de pointes in the literature. Here we present a case of torsades de pointes occurring in a patient with Conn’s syndrome and hypolalemia. Apart form hypokalemia, no other definite cause of torsades was identified in this case. Similarly, apart form hyperaldosteronism, no other cause of hypokalemia was found.
