Analgesic Effect of Intranasal Salmon Calcitonin in the Treatment of Osteoporotic Fractures
降血鈣素鼻噴劑對急性骨折之止痛效果
摘要
降血鈣素是人體本來就有之荷爾蒙，它能抑制鈣由骨骼移出，以往報告生物合成降血鈣素注射後具有止痛效果，本臨床實驗探討降血鈣素鼻噴劑對骨質疏鬆症病人之急性骨折之止痛效果；結果顯示此噴劑有止痛效果可以減少病人使用強烈止痛劑之劑量。

Intranasal spray of salmon calcitonin was used on patients with acute fractures of osteoporosis. Huskinsson’s visual analogue scale was used to evaluate the patient’s response to the analgesic effect of calcitonin. Our results showed that nasal spray calcitonin was well tolerated and it reduced significantly the bone pain due to fractures in addition to its action on calcium metabolism.
