There are many osteoid osteomas of the scaphoid reported in the literature, but most of them show typical sclerosis or a nidus on plain radiographies that are easily detected. We report on a young adult with unusual radiographic presentation of an osteoid osteoma of the scaphoid. He received surgical excision of this tumor and the pathology proved this diagnosis.
