The paper focuses on studying and analyzing the isolation stage dual active bridge (DAB). It introduces the DAB that adopts the conventional phase shift (CPS) control method and its corresponding operation principle. The analytical expression of the small signal model of DAB is obtained based on the generalized average state space method. The duty cycle disturbance-to-current flowing through the leakage inductance transfer function and duty cycle disturbance-to-output voltage transfer function are derived. The paper proposes and designs dual control loops with voltage controller and current controller, which is compared to only single output voltage control loop. Finally, the feasibility is verified through simulation and experimental results.
