Small cell carcinomas are found mostly in the lung, but they can also occur in any portion of the alimentary tract. Gastric small cell carcinomas are a very rare clinicopathological entity. They are difficult to diagnosis by endoscopy. The clinical course of these cancers is very aggressive, and they often recur after surgery. Further, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin and vincristine (CAV) chemotherapy regimens are needed after surgical treatment.
