摘要


arete 乃是理解古希臘時期人文思維的一個非常重要的概念,它代表了一個人最特殊、優越的特質。每個人因為具有不同的arete 而與他人有別,並且也因著實踐了自身的arete,而成為古希臘人眼中優越的人。探究arete 的意涵,對於我們今日的醫學教育具有什麼意義與價值呢?arete 可以為我們的醫學教育提供什麼樣的幫助?本文希望從以下三個部份來探討這個問題:一、arete 的意涵與展現。二、arete 是否能夠成為醫學人文精神的一環。三、arete 如何成為醫學人文教育的核心要素。

'arete' is an important concept in Early Greek thinking. It is our character differ from other people. When we say someone has an arete it means that he has something better than others. But how could the research of arete possibly be a part of our medical humanities education? We hope to explore this issue from the following three-part: First, what is the meaning of arete? Second, can arete be a part of medical humanities spirit? Third, found the core elements of medical humanities education by arete.
