摘要

單樞機的宗教交談，是以靈性觀點為基礎，單樞機從1960年代以來就專注於靈性的修煉，他特別提起唯一、永恆、無限的意義跟價值是他靈性修練的基礎，他也以此的為他修身做人的方法，仙為人謙冲有禮，樂於稱讚誇獎他人，也從不攬功，他對輔仁大學及輔大醫院有非常大的期望，他以為輔仁大學既然是一座天主教大學，就應該要有天主教的精神，而天主教的精神就是要以基督的精神來服務眾人，也就是以基督的愛來愛人，也就是他的墓誌銘所說的：「生於基督，活於基督，死於基督，永屬基督」。

Cardinal Shan's dialogue of religion is based on his view of spirituality. Ever since 1960s, Cardinal Shan has been devoted to the cultivation of spirituality. As he mentions particularly, his cultivation of spirituality is founded on singularity, eternity, and infinity, which is the way he cultivates his character and behavior. Cardinal Shan is a humble and modest person who loves to compliment people. He has great expectation from Fu Jen Catholic University and Fu Jen Catholic University Hospital; he believes that Fu Jen, as a Catholic University, should uphold the spirit of Catholicism and serve people in the spirit of Christ, that is, loving people with the love of Christ. This is the spirit we see on his tombstone: "Born in Christ, Lived in Christ, Died in Christ, Belonged to Christ."
