單國璽樞機與星雲大師樹立的宗教對話典範

宗教對話有各種理論、型態與層次，甚至因著不同動機也會有不同的宗教對話。宗教對話除在宗教團體展現，隨著全球化影響，更易發生在每個人的日常生活中。宗教對話或交談實能助益於彼此理解，消弭衝突與對立隔閡，面對差異能夠包容，更以開放尊重達至共同關懷生命福祉的共榮共好。而天主教與佛教的宗教對話與交往，在臺灣又以單國璽樞機（1923-2012）與星雲大師（1927-2023）的交談對話示例，可以說是最具指標性及典範性意義的。從兩位宗教領䄂立基於人的相互往來，在彼此回應生命議題，不斷真誠交滲深化交談層次，更在一次次宗教相遇中，具體化為行動，形構實踐出各種宗教對話模式。且兩位宗教團體領䄂的宗教對話行誼，除能產生由上而下的潛移默化，亦能開啟引領各自信仰圈的跨越籓籬示範，並產生對教外及社會的擴延影響力。本文除前言與結語外，欲藉由以下四個面向，包括「壹：生命的相遇－當基督遇見佛陀」、「貳：信仰的理解－當神父與做和尚」、「參：行動的支持－FJU VS FGU」、「肆：病痛的轉化－癌末告別之旅VS貧僧有話要說」，對兩位宗教領袖的宗教對話歷程進行探究，進而在生命信仰文化的對話交融中，彰顯單樞機與星雲大師，展示一位宗教信仰者，於自身的生命歷程，如何以人的真實模樣，面對困境的理性思辨，因著信仰帶來的勇氣，靈性悟性的啟迪，成為支持轉化的動力等，進而走出生命的各種幽谷，最終彼此相互輝應所各自成就的生命復原韌性清單，亦成為眾人學習效法的實踐典範。

There are various theories, types, and levels of religious dialogue, and there are even different religious dialogues due to different motivations. Religious dialogue is not only displayed in and among religious groups. With the impact of globalization, it is more likely to occur in everyone's daily life. Religious dialogue or conversations can actually help mutual understanding, eliminate conflicts and barriers, and help people face differences not only with tolerance but also with openness and respect, so as to achieve common prosperity and common interests of caring for the well-being of life. In the religious dialogue and exchanges between Catholicism and Buddhism, the dialogue between Cardinal Shan Kuo-hsi and Master Hsing Yun in Taiwan can be said to be the most indicative and exemplary. The two religious leaders interacted with each other based on humanity, responded to each other's life issues, and continuously communicated sincerely and deepened the levels of dialogue; they formed and practiced various models of religious dialogue through their embodied actions in repeated encounters. Moreover, the dialogue and friendship led by the two religious leaders can not only produce a subtle influence from top to bottom, but also start a demonstration that leads their respective faith circles to cross barriers, and in this way, they produce extended influence on non-religious people and society. In addition to the preface and epilogue, this article is divided into four parts: 1. Encounter of life-when Christ meets Buddha; 2. Understanding of faith-being a priest and being a monk; 3. Support of action-FJU VS FGU; 4. Transformation of illness-the farewell journey of terminal cancer VS messages from a humble monk. With these four parts, this article examines the process of religious dialogue and interchange of life, faith and culture between the two religious leaders in order to explore and highlight the following issues: how the two leaders as religious believers conducted dialectical reasoning based on their live experiences and true humanity; how they walked out of the lows of life by turning the courage brought by faith and the enlightenment of spiritual understanding into the driving force to support transformation; how they accomplished respectively the list of life recovery resilience and echoed each other's list; and how their dialogue and interaction become a practical model for everyone to learn from.
