蘭嶼島雅美族學童視力兩次調查之比較

摘要
本文乃日本眼科教授山地良一氏兩次調查蘭嶼雅美學童的視力報告之比較研究，前後共計348位，皆使用傳統藍氏(Lanolt) C型視力表，結果顯示最佳視力分別為3.7及4.0，依同年齡層(10~15歲)比較，視力2.0以上分別為21.3%及34.4%，可惜的是近視罹患率由19年前的3.3%增為目前的10%，高達三倍之多，其視力惡化結果呈複雜因素影響視力

Acomparative study of the visual acuity & the refraction of the yami school-childern was performed in July, 1971 & in May, 1990. The results were as follows respectively: 1) The visual of the Yami renged from 0.3 to 3.7 VS 0.1 to 4.0. 2) Visual acuity of 1.2 to 2.0 accounted for 74.2% VS 54.3%. Eyes with visual acuity beyound 2.0 was 21.% VS 34.4%, visual acuity over 3.0 was found in 4.5% VS 5.2%. 3) The number of eyes with visual acuity less then 1.0 accounted for 3.3% VS 10.3%. 4) Higher prvalence myopic tate on LanYu island e.g. 3.28% VS 9.97%. The excellent visual acuity of these Yami school-childern could be due to its unque living conditions, namely no mixed marriages, no artificial lighting, early sleeping habits & free from city pollytion. Unfortu-nately, the incidence of myopoa is incerasing year in Lan-Yu istland now.
