氫氧磷灰石珊瑚眼窩球,已為大部分眼科醫師廣泛用於眼摘除後的眼窩植入物。一在珊瑚眼窩球植入前,必須覆蓋捐贈鞏膜以利於此四條眼蛉肌的附著,並減少珊瑚眼窩球的暴露。然而,國內捐贈鞏膜常有缺乏而不敷使用的情形,國外報告可使用自體的闊筋膜、顳筋膜或腹直肌筋膜。本研究嘗試使用Lyodura當眼窩球外覆物。有16個病例使用Lyodura,經過6個月以上的追蹤發現只有2例有輕微結膜裂開,且後來完全癒合、長好,其他14例都沒有結膜破孔及珊瑚眼窩球的暴露感染情形。 因此,Lyodura在捐贈鞏膜缺乏時,是珊瑚眼窩球植入覆蓋物很好的代用品。(慈濟醫學1998;10:119-123)
Coralline hydroxyapatite ocular implants have recently gained wide acceptance among ophthalmologists. Coralline implants are most commonly wrapped in donor sclera before implantation to facilitate placement within the orbit and allow attachment of the extraocular muscles. Autologus temporalis fascia, autologus fascia lata, autologus rectus sheath and vicryl mesh have all been reported as alternatives to sclera, when there is no donor sclera available. In our study, we used lyodura to wrap the coralline reported as alternatives to sclera, when there ins no donor sclera available. In our study, we used lyodura to wrap the coralline implant insertion into the orbit in 16 enucleated eyes. All but two cases experienced an uncomplicated and well v ascularized surface after six months’ follow-up. The other tow cases which had good conjunctival dehiscence initially, later healed with good vascularization. In conclusion, lyodura servs as cheap and reliable alternative for coralline implantation when donor sclera in not available. (Tzu Chi Med J1998;10-119-123)
