摘要

中古世紀北歐維京人的海外擴張活動，是高中世界史課程新增的重要課題，本文將討論並釐清以下主題：如何看待維京人的歷史角色？維京人為何向海外四處擴張？維京人擴張與殖民的主要地區－法蘭克王國、不列顛群島、東歐、北大西洋地區，最後總結說明維京人擴張對歐洲社會造成的重大影響。
