This research is to evaluate the possibility of applying cold plasma in high-speed bacteriostasis of agricultural products. The concerned factors are cold plasma time and electric power influencing seeds to bud and bacteriostasis by choosing Mung bean seeds as the material and the Central Composite Design (CCD) as the methodology. The results show that seeds under the combined conditions of cold plasma power of 30~70W and the processing time of 2~6 minutes, the changes of budding time are not obvious, which means, even after the cold plasma treatment, the seeds stay the same vitality. However, the musty time postpones remarkably. The seeds have themaximumelongation onmusty time with cold plasma processing for 5 minutes and electric power at 60W. The bacteriostasis becomes obvious under such condition. This study can be a reference for applying cold plasma in high-speed bacteriostasis of agricultural products.
