The performance of an electric motor, as the source of the power chain, plays a key role in the field operation for an electric agricultural machine. The agricultural machine usually operates in the low speed range, and requires high torque output to effectively execute field operations. An electrical motor operated at low speed with high torque for agricultural machinery is therefore developed in this paper. The output performance of the motor has also been verified through a customized electrified cultivator in field operations such as weeding and ridging. The outcomes show that the designed motor has fulfilled the field operations for agriculture applications.
