The rapid popularity of fashion has brought serious pollution to the earth. This study aims to explore the correlation between fashion, social trends and clothing sustainability. It collects and reads literature by means of literature analysis. After integration and classification, it is described and analyzed. The results show that popular fashion, current social trends and clothing sustainability are closely related. Because fast fashion attracts consumers with the strategy of "small profits but quick turnover", the supply chain must keep costs down and supply goods in a timely manner, resulting in excessive back-end purchases and waste, negatively affecting the environment and human beings. Countries are beginning to promote sustainable and standardized production. The industry is actively paying attention and responding, and consumers are gradually responding and practicing.
