網路使用對民衆社區意識的影響：兩種網路工具型態的比較分析
The impact of Internet use on people's sense of community: Comparative analysis of two types of Internet tools
摘要
隨著時代的變遷，社會結構和生活方式的改變，人們的社區意識也發生了很大變化。本研究擬透過「台灣社會變遷基本調查計畫」1997和2017年兩期資料，比較兩種型態網路工具的使用對台灣民衆社區意識的影響。本研究發現：1.相較於1997年電腦網路的使用對社區意識的無影響，2017年時社群媒體的使用對其社區意識具有顯著正向影響；2.社群媒體對社區意識的影響在如今變顯著的背後體現了時代變遷下社會結構的變化以及兩個網路工具的特質不同；3.居民社會網絡規模。日常接觸人數、年齡和慈善社會服務活動參與對社區意識具有正向影響，但1997年主要是情感性網絡規模發揮顯著作用，而2017年則是工具性網絡規模具有顯著影響本研究一方面有助於釐清過去關於網路使用對社區意識影響的爭議，深化社區意識的理論研究，另一方面找到恰當和適合如今時代的喚醒民衆社區意識的方法，完善公民社會。

As times change, social structures and lifestyles change, people's sense of community has also undergone great changes. This study intends to use the data from the 1997 and 2017 issues of the "Taiwan Social Change Basic Survey Project" to explore the impact and changes of the use of different Internet tools on Taiwanese people's sense of community. This study found that: 1. Compared with the use of computers and the Internet in 1997, which had no impact on community awareness, the use of social media in 2017 had a significant positive impact on their sense of community; 2. The reason why the influence of social media has become more significant now reflects the changes in social structure under the changing times and the different characteristics of the two internet tools; 3. The size of residents' social network, the number of daily contacts, age and charitable social service participation have a positive impact on community awareness, but in 1997, the emotional network size mainly played a significant role, while in 2017, the instrumental network size had a significant impact. On the one hand, this study helps to clarify past disputes about the impact of Internet use on sense of community and deepen theoretical research on sense of community. On the other hand, it helps to find appropriate and suitable methods for awakening people's sense of community and improve civil society.
