摘要
TPM(Trusted Platform Module)是由TCG(Trusted Computing Group)所制訂的一個安全模組，目的是為下一代電腦（註 1）提供一個加解密運算核心，以及確保開機的流程安全無誤。使用TPM所提供的功能，電腦上的資料將可以和系統的狀態資訊加密結合，即使資料被竊取也無法輕易解開，除此之外，以後從開機到執行應用程式，TPM將在每一個環節出現，並且確認開機流程中的每一個步驟都是安全的。本文將簡單介紹TCG所制訂的架構，和TPM的應用與其帶來的疑慮。 （註 1）正確的說是computing platform（運算平台），因為TCG定義的是一個一般化的架構，而不是只針對電腦（其他諸如PDA、行動電話也適用其架構），本文為了說明方便，僅簡稱電腦。

TPM (Trusted Platform Module) is a security module defined by TCG (Trusted Computing Group), aims to provide a cryptographic core for next generation computing platform, and to make sure the booting sequence is trusted. Using the functions provided by TPM, data on a platform can be sealed to specific system information; which means, even if the data is stolen, the thief can't decrypt it. In the future, TPM will appear everywhere after boot-up, making sure every booting segment is ”trusted”. This article will simply introduce the architecture, the TPM usage, and the coming qualms.
