WiMAX IP Surveillance System Design and Its Applications
摘要
全球微波存取互通介面(Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access; WiMAX)是一種無線寬頻傳輸的標準，不論是信號的涵蓋範圍、上傳及下載速度以及頻寬使用率，皆比以往的無線網路優越，可作為最後一哩(last-mile)寬頻存取，提供電纜及DSL之外的無線替代方案。因其無線寬頻存取的特性，其應用服務的範圍很廣泛，如以往低頻寬需求的網頁瀏覽、VoIP等，以致於高頻寬需求的視訊電話、多媒體串流、多媒體內容下載等，皆能應用在支援WiMAX存取的可攜式裝置當中。於本論文將介紹目前已開發完成的WiMAX IP監控系統整體架構，以及進行WiMAX網路基本架構的了解，最後介紹WiMAX IP監控系統的實例應用，包含「WiMAX行動電子巡警系統」以及「災害現場WiMAX通訊指揮系統」。

WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access; WiMAX) is one of wireless broadband transmission standards, standards for WiMAX is based on IEEE 802.16 serious. Its signal coverage, upload and download rate, and bandwidth efficiency is better than traditional wireless network. It can be the last mile for where the cable and DSL network cannot reach. Because of its characteristic of broadband access and mobility, wireless applications become various. In this paper, the WiMAX IP surveillance system will be introduced and the system has been developed. The introduction are including of system architecture and understanding WiMAX network architecture. Finally, some real-try applications of WiMAX IP surveillance system will be unveiled, including of ”WiMAX e-Police Patrolling System” and ”WiMAX Fire-scene Command system”.
