Three cases of cholesterol emboli in the retinal arteries were reported. One case occurred in a 62-year old man, one in a 72 year-old man and the third occurred in a 70 year-old man. The nature and the occurrence of the crystals were discussed in detail and the significance of the discovery of the crystals in the life prognosis and of the possible complication in the cardiocarotid cerebral circulation were emphasized.
