9例真菌性角膜炎接受2% Miconzole藥膏局部點眼治療被,5例潰瘍痊癒,4例潰瘍因為局部刺激,病情惡化或合併眼內炎而改用其它藥物治療。
Nine patients of mycotic keratitis treated with 2% Miconazole in Kao-hsiung Medical College from June to November 1981 were reported. The diagnosis of mycotic keratitis was based on positive finding in smear or positive culture. The patients were treated with 2% Miconazole ointment q. 2. h. to Qid. 5 patients had completely healed from the ulcers. 4 patients refused the medication because of adverse effect, such as painful irritation, deterioration or progression into endophthalmitis. Among 1these who were cured, there were 2 cases of aspergillus, 1 case of candida, 1 case of cephalosporium keratitis and 1 case had only microscopic diagnosis without the isolation of the fungus.
