摘要

以55例63眼的糖尿病性牽引性網膜剝離，施予內置式鞏膜扣壓術治療，有77.8%視力進步，並維持六個月以上。

Since September, 1978 to August, 1982, Sixty three eyes of fifty patients of diabetic traction retinal detachment were operated on with scleral buckling procedure. The procedure constituted of making a scleral bed, applying diathermy, subretinal fluid drainage and scleral buckling with silicon implant. The purpose of operation is to relieve vitreo-retinal traction and to make retina as well as macula attached.
The overall success rate is quiet satifactory. 82.5% of the eyes obtain anatomic improvement and 60.3% obtain macular attachment. 77.8% of the eyes obtain visual improvement.
As comparing with scleral resection procedure and closed vitrectomy, we find our procedure is safer and more effective.
