摘要

自民國72年4月至同年9月，著者等在42例複雜性視網膜剝離症之手術中使用六氟化硫(SF6)作為輔助治療材料，結果在平均4.2個月之追踪期間內，手術成功率為40.5%；視力進步之比率為33.3%。併發症以玻璃體出血（9例），併發症白內障（6例），葡萄膜炎性反應（6例），青光眼（2例）較多見。本文同時討論六氟化硫之特性以及使用於治療視綱膜剝離症之適應症與治療機轉。著者等認為謹慎地利用六氟化硫，對於治療難治之視網膜剝離症將有很大的幫助。

Between April 1983 and September 1983, we utilized sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) gas as a supplemental facility in the surgery of 42 complex cases of retinal detachment. After an average of 4.2 months of follow up period, the successful rate for retinal reattachment was 40.5%. The visual improvement was achieved in 33.3% of patients. The complications, either related or unrelated to the SF6 injection, included vitreous hemorrhage (9 cases), complicated cataract (6 cases), postoperative glaucoma (2 cases). The usefulness, indication and mechanism of SF6 in the management of retinal detachment are discussed. The authors conclude that SF6 is a very helpful adjunct in the surgery of complex cases of retinal detachment if it is used very carefully.
