眼球銅質沉積症並不常見。臨床表徵從溫和無症狀到嚴重的眼內發炎都有可能發生。此病症之表現和異物在眼內的位置、銅質含量純度與異物大小有關。本篇眼球銅質沉積症討論一位病人因微小眼外傷害，造成一段4毫米銅線沉積於右眼前房下方隅角長達五年。此病人於1996年三月在工作時，右眼意外被銅線刮傷。於1997年三月，接受白內障摘除術；於2001年一月，由右眼前房下隅角取出一段長約四毫米的銅線；於六月接受視網膜電位儀檢查；並於九月，接受右眼小樑切除術。在此，我們就此稀有病例討論其併發症與特殊的病程。

Chalcosis oculi is an uncommon disease entity. Clinical manifestations of the disease range from asymptomatic quiet eye to severe endophthalmitis, depending on the location, the size and the purity of the metal. We reported a case of chalcosis oculi with a piece of pure copper wire embedded in the 6-o'clock position of anterior chamber angle for five years. This 42-year-old woman had been accidentally scratched in her right eye by a fine copper wire during working in March 1996. She underwent extracapsular cataract extraction and posterior chamber intra-ocular lens implantation with scleral fixation in March 1997. In January 2001, a piece of copper wire measured 4 mm in length was removed from the inferior chamber angle of her right eye. The case was complicated with glaucoma and abnormalities of the electroretinogram.
