本主是《孟子•告子上)「食色性也」章的重新詮釋。通過語言的分析，以澄清辯論的重點，從而發掘告子在道德哲學上主張客觀的自然主義，以及孟子在道德哲學上反對客觀的自然主義和情緒主義的立場。

This paper is a re-interpretation of the chapter four of the first half of 'Kao Tze, in ”Mencius”. The main points and their philosophical significance of the argument between Mencius and Kao Tze in this chapter are clarified through philological and linguistic analyse. Kao Tze's inclination to ethical objective naturalism and Mencius' opposition to both objective naturalism and emotivism are shown as the result of such analyse.
